Terms of Service
Last updated: August 2026
These terms apply to your use of the Werribee Electrical website (ABN 66 698 845 064) and to any quote, booking or service arranged through us. By using this website or requesting a quote you agree to these terms.
1. Our role — connecting you with licensed electricians
Werribee Electrical is a locally owned electrical service that connects customers with qualified, licensed and insured electricians across the City of Wyndham and Greater Geelong. We act as a booking and coordination service: we take your enquiry, arrange a suitable A-Grade licensed electrician from our network to attend your premises, and coordinate scheduling and communication.
The electrical work itself is performed by independent, A-Grade licensed electricians who hold the appropriate Victorian licensing and registration required to perform and certify the work — including issuing the Certificate of Electrical Safety (CES) where required by law. The attending electrician is the contractor responsible for the workmanship, compliance and certification of the electrical work carried out at your premises. Werribee Electrical is not the electrical contractor and does not itself perform, supervise or certify electrical work.
2. Quotes
Indicative pricing provided over the phone or by email is an estimate only. A written, fixed-price quote will be provided by the attending electrician after on-site assessment. Quotes are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise.
3. Payment
Payment is due on completion of the work unless other terms are agreed in writing. We accept card, EFT and bank transfer. Late payments may incur interest and recovery costs.
4. Workmanship & warranty
All electrical work is performed by the attending licensed electrician in accordance with the AS/NZS 3000 Wiring Rules and applicable Victorian regulations. The attending electrician warrants their workmanship for a minimum of 12 months from completion, in addition to any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.
5. Your responsibilities
- Provide safe and reasonable access to the work site.
- Disclose any known hazards, asbestos, or pre-existing defects.
- Ensure you are authorised to instruct the work on the premises.
6. Limitation of liability
Because Werribee Electrical acts as a booking and coordination service and does not itself perform, supervise or certify electrical work, any claim relating to the quality, safety, compliance or outcome of the electrical work itself is a matter between you and the attending licensed electrician who carried out that work.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Werribee Electrical's liability is limited to its role as a booking and coordination service. We are not liable for the acts, omissions, workmanship or advice of the independent licensed electricians we connect you with. Nothing in these terms excludes any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Our total liability for any claim arising from our coordination role is limited, at our option, to refunding any coordination fee we received for that booking.
7. Cancellations
You may cancel or reschedule a booking by giving us at least 24 hours’ notice. Late cancellations or missed appointments may incur a reasonable cancellation fee.
8. Website content
Information on this website is provided for general guidance only and does not constitute electrical or safety advice. Always engage a licensed electrician for any electrical work.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.
